The Falling Walls LAB2016 Prague Conference
The Falling Walls Conference is an annual science event in Berlin, Germany, that coincides with the anniversary of the Fall of the Berlin Wall (November 9, 1989). The one-day scientific conference showcases the research work of international scientists from a wide range of fields.

Every speaker presents a talk of maximum of 3 minutes, explaining how their scientific research helps to break down walls in science and society.
Inspired by this world-changing event on 9 November 1989, the question of every Falling Walls gathering is: Which walls will fall next? Falling Walls fosters discussion on research and innovation and promotes the latest scientific findings among a broad audience from all parts of society.
The Falling Walls Foundation, a charity, is generously supported by the German Ministry for Education and
Research, the Robert Bosch Stiftung, the Helmholtz Association, the Berlin Senate and numerous other acclaimed academic institutions, foundations, companies, non-governmental organisations and prominent individuals.
The aim of the Conference is to:
* identify trends, opportunities and solutions for global challenges and discover international breakthrough research.
* connect outstanding researchers from different disciplines and support the interdisciplinary exchange of ideas internationally.
* build bridges between business, politics, academia and the arts.
*promote the latest scientific findings among a broader audience and

*inspire people to break down walls in
science and society.
I applied thanks to my brother Adi, who sent me an email filled with info about Falling Walls Conference first round.
That took a place in Prague, famous Goethe Institut, near National Theatre. Eventhough I didn't win (and I still think that I should) I have to advise anyone who has an idea to apply and present his or her idea in front of professionals and scientists of many fields.
My idea was a University project called "The AvanTeer". It is an online database or mobile application that allows anyone to volunteer anywhere anytime. All information could be found at this website: http://theavanteer.wix.com/webpage (only in CZ).
