            The Crowdfunding for surgery

 

 

        Not everything goes well every time. Eventhough we did everything we could, this time I failed.

       Daniell and Darwin are two kids from Hogar de Cristo in Arequipa, which were in our class of English. When Rike found out that one of them has tumor in his brain she decided to get together enough money to pay his surgery. That includes the transportation, time in Hospital, doctors from Europe and other medical expenses.

     We spent several afternoons searching for the best crowfunding webpage, then we were looking for suitable Hospital with acceptable equipment. Rike believed she could find doctors in German via her father's company. The only thing we needed for initiating was medical description of Daniell's health condition. We were promised by headmaster of Hogar de Cristo that he will give us and help us but that never happened. 

  

       Eventhough I spent in Arequipa 4 more weeks I never recieved the so much needed medical description. I went into the conflict with the headmaster and it end up badly for most of us, including people from AIESEC Arequipa so I was forced to fall back.

 

      I have stil 8 or 9 more days to come up with some idea, I promised myself I'm not gonna give it up so easily.
