Escape Games 2015 / 2016

     We started new hobby this year. It's called ESCAPE Games.

    The point is to get yourself out of locked room in 60 minutes. But it's not that simple. Most usually you're locked up or stuck somewhere in the locker room, basement or secret place. Once we were even in a jail...

    Using the skills and knowledge you're trying to cooperate with others and leave the room in specific time. The big amount of cooperation is needed.

    Those type of games are useful for Team-buildings and similar friends-creating actvities.

    First one I visited was in Prague. The room was called "THE EXIT GAME" and it was somewhere in the city centre. I went there with my flatmates; Petr, Michael, Evka and Máca. It was our first one, in Febuary I believe.

    We got out in time if I remeber correctly. The most important was to cut the phone robe before "everything explodes" and Evka found it and solve it.

    I found that game average entertaining, it was our first one but with everything I know now, it's somewhere above the average.

                                             -> 6 from 10

Then I went with my brother, my cousin and her boyfriend to Escape game called "THE_ENIGMA". I believed it would be something as a famous german crypt-coder but it has same only the name. The point of game was to find some codes

before it was too late. If I remember well, we did this shortly after the time ran up. We even found a key from the final door but the door were stucked. And it wasn't only problem. Some of the codes weren't working and I didn't find this Escape Room entartaining.

    The most funny story I remember was from the begining of the game. We were busted in a jail and we had to got out in a first place. Adi somehow got his hand through the jail and was able to get the keys from cell.

    Not the best Escape Room but it'S only my opinion, others could like it, why not.

                                       -> 5 from 10

Third one we visited was called simply just "PRACOVNA". It's located in old Prague 1 centre in Bílková 21 street. That is one of the best Escape so far. I went there with my cousin and her boyfriend again, new members of our team were my uncle and his son - my another cousin.

     Everything was built like in Sherlock Holmes movie. Even the type of codes and crypts were like from New-Elightened Age. We could even wear a hat and a black coat.

     The cooperation was so needed. But the most funny and awesome fact is, that in final 10 minutes we discovered secret laboratory located in another room, about which we had no idea before. We had to get there through wardrobe (like in Chronicles of Narnia :D )

    There was bug temperature and light difference between those two rooms and we were under time pressure so that highlightened up the experience from this Escape Room.

    One of the best Escapes I visited. Few weeks later we visited their second type of Escpae Room. It's called "THE HACKER" which is the best Escape Room I visited so far.

    Unfortunately I have no picture from there, but if I could recomened you one Escape Room in Prague, then it would be "THE HACKER" from this company.

    The review of the "PRACOVNA" Escape Room is highly above the average, I would say something like 8 from 10.

   And "THE HACKER" is the best one I was in, so here is review simple, full throtle -> 10 from 10.

   Between "PRACOVNA" and "THE HACKER" we went to the Room called "TIME MACHINE" which is located somewhere in Holešovice part of the city. The biggest difference and advantage of this room in front of the others is the fact, that you

start from two places at the same time. We were split up into two teams, one started in Stone-Age and second one in the Post-Apocalyptic future and our goal was via cooperation get together back to our century.

    As you can see in the picture, we made it. And we had a guest who was watching us all the time. You're guessing right, it was Gustav Husák himself :D

     Our team had only four members, me, my bro, my uncle and his cousin. But that's enough, trust me ;)

       Review is weak 7 from 10.

     This Escape Room is located in my home-town; Jablonec. One friend of mine, Honza S., decided to create his own Escape Room and I was very happy too visit his one. Timing wasn't the best one, it was in December close to Christmast

and I wasn't able to put my team together. My cousin und Uncle were busy till late afternoon and my bro was stuck in Prague so I decided to call my friends from Iceland - Hafik and Drboš, if they wanna help me win that Escape Room.

    They're cool friend so they agreed eventhough they never went to any Escape room before. I thought I'll be able to help them as much as possible, but I was proved wrong. But about that later...

   Our forth and last member was Ája, schoolmate from my High-School.

   This Escape Room is based only on cooperation and team-work which is big difference to the other Escape rooms. And I find it as a big advantage.

   Only problem is that whole group is as strong as a weakest member. For the others it was first Escape room ever so we made several mistakes and we didn't got out in time.

    It was my first Escape Room where I failed to escape, but on the other hand it was one of the most attractive and funny one.

    Except "THE HACKER" I considere this one as one of the best ones. I was lucky that for second game I could go inside the "control-room" and was able to see the game from the other side. And it gave me few ideas.

         Review 9 from 10.

     I believe last one in 2015 was the other one in Jablonec. After the previous Escape Room we went to pub to discuss everything and Ája found out that there is another escape room in Jablonec so we decided to check taht up too.

    We went few days after the Honza S.'s one and except Ája we were complete. Me, Drboš, Hafik and his friend.

     This Escpae Room is called "THE APARTMENT" and is located in Fit Studio. We were really surprised from the very beginning, it's different to the other Escape Rooms and I believe in a wrong way different.

    Big disadvantage is that it's located in the highest room of the building. We were right undet the roof.

Some of the codes were unlogical and others we made only by luck (which should be avoid as much

as possible. And the most funny thing happened when we were trying to put in a code and it wasn't working. We tried all the possible and impossible possibilities but no success. We lost maybe 20 minutes over there before we called for help and we were told that we're right, there is only mistake in the lock...

    That not only ruined our time but also our experience from this locker room. Since then we weren't trying at our best because we felt cheated.

   Even when we found there is another secret room, where you have to get through small waredrobe, we couldn't enjoy it as much as possible.

   We made it out maybe one and half minute before deadline but our time could be much much better.

   And there wasn't anything inovaiting in that room, so review is one of the worst Escape Room.

               -> 4 from 10

    It's funny how in Jablonec I found the best and the worst Escape Room. Further more I will recommened the HOnza S's one and maybe I'll start to think about my own Escape Room. We joked about it already with Drboš and Hafik, but we didn't come up with anything usefull... We just made some impossible tasks which the players wouldn't be able to pass in our Escape Room. Something like "run faster and longer than Drboš"

      Even I'm not able to beat him in that so whou else could ?

      And we all know that I'm awesome, right ?

2016

   First Escape game of 2016 we took right in January. It was in Prague again and was called "Sherlock Holmes' office". It was me, my bro, cousin Kačka with her boyfrined and her Dad. Our usual team. I thought we are pretty damm good already but this game was too difficult for us. Or maybe it wasn't difficult, but confusing.

   We found almost all the hints and secrets but simetimes we were looking for too complicated solutions. In fact, many of them were easier then we thought.

    And we were little bit unlucky, like we missed few obvious keys and puzzles. But we discovered secret room (again) and we found the way out almost in requested 60 minutes. But to summarize the feelings and ideas of this Escape room; I like the time of Sherlock Holmes' London but I miss direct-to-go puzzles and hints.

    Maybe it's just my feeling of dissapointment, maybe we were in too many Escape Games already, but this game isn't my favorite.

    The Review is 5 points of 10, but this time it's completely my subjective point of view so don't take me for granted. IT is possible that anyone else could like this one much more and put higher review.
